Bangladesh Government’s e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-GOV CIRT) is introducing an e-sign facility without any fuss. The service will be open to the public at the end of April. Earlier on Wednesday, Mehedi Masroor Ibn Matin, CA Manager of BGD e-Gov CIRT, shared the details of the app-based e-sign with the partners through their video conferencing app 'Baithak'. The virtual meeting was chaired by Tareq M Barkatullah, Project Director, BGD e-Govt. It was informed at the event that with the launch of this new service, from now on, the hassle of buying a digital signature service with three and a half thousand Taka will no longer be needed. Instead, the legal infrastructure of digital signature will be available with the subscription service at 500-600 taka. This facility will ensure the authenticity of digital transactions as well as secure the online payment system.
